Intro
I have to list the five steps of the product lifecycle. Raw materials, process, manufacturing, use, and disposing. I am doing the lifecycle of a glue stick.
timeline
1. Plastic is made to make the shell of the glue stick. petroleum, natural gasses and other materials make up the glue. Petroleum and the other gasses are found on earth and are stored and ready to be processed.
2. In the process step, the gasses are put together. The plastic is made more useable. The plastic is made to be but into a tube formation.
3. When it is manufactured, the plastic is molded and made into a tube. The glue is added to the little platform which goes into the tube.
4. We use the product to glue things together. We use it until there is no more or the glue isn't sticky anymore. We use it for school most of the time for projects.
5. Now we throw it away and it ends up in a landfill then probably blows away into the ocean and fish eat it and we catch the fish and we open the fish and it has plastic in it which can be dangerous. There is the life cycle of a glue stick.

conclusion
1. The product lifecycle is the gathering materials, processing, manufacturing, using, and disposing of a product.
2. If the life cycle ends in a bad way then the manufacturers could get in trouble. They need to care about the environment.
3. I would change what the glue is made out of so that it doesn't effect the environment as much.
4. It will not become obsolete because all schools use it for school projects. Kid need to learn so glue stick is used to glue projects or papers together.
5. A trade off is to trade out one thing for another that is more or less or equal value especially to solve compromise.
6. Trade offs might have been made because a certain plastic wasn't good for a tube. Also, there might have been a trade off for a type of glue. one type might have been dangerous or not sticky enough.
7. We need to recycle to save the planet and marine life.
8. Product designers will design a product that can be recycled.
9. Society plays a big role. Some recycle and some do not. Animals are dying from plastic.
10. I can recycle more. I can use biodigradible products.
